Day 2/365: Trashigang meaning "fortress of auspicious mount," is a town in eastern Bhutan and the district capital of the Trashigang Dzongkhag district.
While it has no major urban area, Trashigang has the densest population in Bhutan. It used to be part of an important trade route connecting Assam to Tibet. 

Trashigang is a beautiful serene town of Bhutan – the Jewel of the East. Trashigang town is the capital of Trashigang Dzongkhag district.
