3. Lake Pichola:
It is an artificial lake in Udiapur built in 1362 AD. It is the most popular and oldest
famous lake of Udaipur to visit when you are visiting. The lake comprises of 4 small
islands with beautiful palaces. They are Jag Mandir, Mohan Mandir, Jag Niwas and
Arsi Vilas. The islands can only reached by boats and the rides of commercial
boats begin in 10 am in the morning until 5 pm in the evening. Evening boat rides
have price surges.
4. Jag Mandir Island:
It is situated on Lake Pichola as appears to float on the Lake, The Jag Mandir is
also known as Lake Garden Palace. It was commissioned by Maharana Jagat
Singh I; therefore, the palace is name after him. To visit this place you can get a
jetty from Bansi Ghat from 10 am to 6 pm.
5. Bagore ki Haveli:
It was build by Prime Minister of Mewar in 18th century at the Gangori Ghat of
Lake Pichole. It is a palace and museum converted on 1986. The palace have
more then 100 rooms decorated with ultra lavish mirror walls and murals. The
museum opens at 9:30 am in the morning till 5:30 pm. Bagore Ki Haveli offers
unique Dharohar Dance Show from 7 pm to 8 pm; booking can be done at the
ticket counter.
6. Shilpgram:
It is the artisanal village to experience museum and market place to showcases
Rajasthani art and craft. There are huts which displays unique arts and crafts from
the state of Rajasthan, and also from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa. It is located 3
kms from Udaopur and spread over 70 acres of land. Entry between 11 am to 7 pm
for just INR 30.
7. Vintage and Classic Car Museum:
The museum is owned by Arvind Sing Mewar to showcase cars owned by Mewar’s
Maharans who still live, and also those who have previously reigned. The museum
have opened for general public 12 years ago. Inside the museum the is also a
Royal Shell Petrol Pump which is still operational. The charges for the tourist to visit
the museum is INR 250, opened between 9 am to 9pm.
