How to Reach Mandarmani

A travel destination like this always driven by the means of communication getting there. Mandarmani can be reached by 2 possible ways by road and by train. For a budget trip for weekend my personal suggestion would be train. However, buses are also a great option if you want to travel overnight and reach the destination without losing a single day light minute.

Trains are available from Howrah and Sealdah stations to Contai and Digha. From there you can hire a auto or get bus from the station to Mandarmani. There from hiring an auto could be a little pinch of Rs.300-600 for budget traveller for off season. And would raised upto Rs 800 in peak season. Get the list of train runs between the station on MMT.

If you want to travel by bus you can get buses from Esplanade, Kolkata to Chawalkhala Bus Station (or Mandarmani Bus Stop) in Contai-Digha highway and therefrom higher an auto to Mandarmani. Auto hiring from is less compare to station as you can negotiate more. Fare varies from Rs. 100-300 depending on seasons and timing. Check availability on MMT

If you have a personal car or want to travel by hired cab then you can reached the Mandarmani with 3-4 hours.

For traveller outside India the nearest airport to Mandarmani is Kolkata Airport (CCU) with is wellconnect with rails and roads. You can easily reach to nearest Railway Station or Esplande Bus Stop and get a train or bus from there.

While you are enjoying sea, we can enjoy all the appetizing sea food and bengali dishes. As Mandarmani is also a fishing sea beach you can enjoy seafood like crabs, shrimps and lobsters prepared at the beaches during the evening at the temporary shacks and street food joints. 

For lunch and dinners you can have Bengal veg and non-veg thalis or can order as per your likings. At luxuries hotels you can find Indian, Chinese and Continental foods, if you request you will be served near the sea beach while you soothing the breathtaking sea view or under the moon if the sky is clear.

During dawn these boats came to the shore where it looks very beautiful as a shaded boats with lights hitting the shore one-by-one. These peace of beauty added more thrill to the tourist when they wait to see sunrise at Mohana.
